A wood sculptor and painter of Black Art, Mr. Outlaw depicted life as he experienced it during the 40's and 50's. Every painting tells a story of a time of struggle but endearing and simple life.

Mr. Outlaw lived this life until graduating from high school in 1961 when he began a career as a barber. His insatiable desire to express himself artistically was limited by his growing clientele, but he managed to carve between haircuts.
